Who we are, first of all, a creative couple who have lived and worked together for over 40 years settling on a small mountian in the Wichita Mountains of Southwest Oklahoma with our two (take me walking now) dogs. The fact that we work together does not mean we are of one creative mind. Our styles are quite different as is our way approaching a project which helps when we do work on a project together.
Michael is a graphic arts guru and web site designer. He has done more brochures than you can shake a mechanical pencil at and licensing product design for major watch companies and toy manufacturers. Web sites came later in his career but now having done them since 2003 is equally proficient at design and coding. With a less demanding commercial business Michael has returned to his love which is landscape painting. His subject matter lies right outside our door in the vistas of the Wichita mountains. He has shown in galleries and exhibits throughout Oklahoma.
Muriel is a concept designer/ illustrator. Her earliest works revolved around greeting cards, the toy industry and character development best known being Strawberry Shortcake and Friends and the early phases of Care Bears and Get Along Gang. After playing with all sorts of medium including fabric and clay her current concentration is 3D Design/ Illustration. Having created 3D art for herself that then worked their ways into magazines.
Both of us are born collectors, we have shared collections: American Art Pottery, Indian Art Pottery and individual collections. Michael’s current collection is dominoes. Muriel’s current collection is staplers. Part of the beauty of these collections is reaching into history and design, elements that both Michael and Muriel find appealing.
We are both involved in many events that take place in Town of Medicine Park, and especially our Old West street theater: The Medicine Park Marauders.
